Chicago Bears death: Katie Nagle, a longtime assistant manager, passed away

After suffering difficulties from a rare disease brought on by a medication she took after receiving breast cancer treatment, Katie Nagle, a well-liked member of the Chicago Bears organization and a dear friend to many, went suddenly. Katie’s peaceful and tolerant character was well-known even during her time as a high school student at Sacred Heart of Mary, where she formed a close friendship with the author’s sister. She was five years older than the author, but she always treated her friend’s younger brother with respect, and the author has never forgotten that.

Professionally, Katie led an equally impressive life. In 2002, she started working for the Chicago Bears as an executive assistant. She supported club president and general manager Ted Phillips initially, then chairman George H. McKay most recently. She spent twenty years working for the company and developed into a vital member of the Bear family. She was renowned for her grace, commitment, and unflinching loyalty. She distinguished herself with her work ethic and personal attributes, winning the respect and admiration of her peers.

Katie Nagle will be remembered as a beautiful soul who touched the lives of many with her kindness, grace and devotion. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, both inside and outside the Chicago Bears organization.
