Deaths of Johnny Trailer Jr. and Quincy Duhon Jr.: According to the Lafayette Police Department, there has been a second casualty in a shooting inside a Lafayette business.
The event was held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at a business located in the 1000 block of Louisiana Avenue. Another person lost their life in the shooting as well. He was identified as 48-year-old Johnny Trailer Jr., a barber and assistant girls’ basketball coach at David Thibodeaux Stem Magnet Academy.
The second fatality has been named by the authorities as Quincy Duhon Jr., a 19-year-old Lafayette resident.
