Raven Francis New Orleans Death: Mid-City Incident Results in Woman’s Death and Injuries to Four More
A violent event that left four other women injured and 29-year-old Raven Francis dead rocked the New Orleans neighborhood late on Monday night.
Residents of the Mid-City area are very grieved and concerned about the unfortunate tragedy, which is presently being investigated by the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD).
The shooting happened close to a well-liked location that both locals and tourists frequent, on the 4100 block of South Carrollton Avenue. Two parties got into a physical brawl at a nearby business, according to NOPD reports. As one group tried to flee the situation in their car, the altercation suddenly became more violent, and an unidentified attacker opened fire.
After being hit by gunfire many times, the car lost control, smashed into a fire hydrant, and then toppled over at the intersection of South Solomon Street and Baudin Street. When emergency personnel arrived, they discovered the automobile had overturned and its occupants had suffered serious injuries. The scene that unfolded was one of pandemonium and horror.
