Popular optometrist Dr. Eric Eiselman of Fort Myers passed away in a terrible accident on Winkler Road that devastated his family, especially his wife Tara and kids.
Following a terrible series of circumstances, Eiselman passed away on Saturday, September 7, at around 10:41 a.m. in Fort Myers when the golf cart he was operating collided with a propane tank.
Eiselman was declared dead at the scene of the collision after suffering fatal injuries. Both the propane tanker driver and the passenger in the Golf suffered minor injuries.
Fort Lauderdale is the place where Dr. Eric Eiselman was raised. He studied for a doctorate in optometry at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry after receiving a dual Bachelor of Science degree from the university in biology and optometry. He finished his clinical internships at the Acker-Kasten Cataract and Laser Institute in Boca Raton and Omni Eye Services in Atlanta. He was employed for Florida Eye Centers when he passed away.
On March 13, 2021, Eric Eiselman wed Tara at the Heitman Home in Southwest Florida. The pair is parents to two kids.
After learning of her husband’s passing, Tara shared a number of pictures in which she and her spouse are shown on their wedding day.
Later on, she published a collage of her husband and her two kids, as well as the entire family.

Others paid tribute to Dr. Eiselman, recalling him as a wonderful man in addition to being a terrific doctor.
