Authorities declared that they had located the bodies of two men who had vanished after a deadly boat accident on Labor Day in Connecticut.
Environmental Conservation Police Capt. Keith Williams said that the first body was discovered on Friday shortly after noon, about a quarter of a mile from the accident scene, at the entrance of the Connecticut River between Old Saybrook and Old Lyme.
DEEP has identified the two missing adult males as 25-year-old Ian Duchemin of Oakdale, Connecticut, and 24-year-old Ryan D. Britagna of Waterford, Connecticut. They were found in the CT River/Long Island Sound area in Old Saybrook after Monday night’s boat mishap.
The cause and manner of death will be determined by the State Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
