Silver Taps: Health senior Kylee Elizabeth Piersol will be honored at the Tuesday, Sept. 3 Silver Taps ceremony in the Academic Plaza
Mitzi Piersol said of her daughter Kylee, “She was the kind of person that you’d meet her and you feel like you’ve known her forever.”
When on vacation, Kylee would always wake her family up early on at least one day to witness the sunrise because the beach was her happy spot, according to Mitzi.
She was sincere and full of passion. In addition to being an avid reader, Kylee was a dog mom to Finley, a passionate baseball lover, and a devoted aunt to her two nephews.
Kylee’s parents characterize her as precise and a fireball, with an old soul. She always did the dishes and clothes before leaving for the weekends because she enjoyed coming home to a clean house.
According to her father Drew, everything was in order. “Every cushion had a fluffy texture. Although we’ve seen her in her apartment, we’ve never gone there without her. You think to yourself, “Man, that’s just not normal,” as soon as you walk in. But she was like that. She was quite thorough. She was on board.
Aggie loyalty runs in the family. Her oldest brother graduated in the class of 2019, and her father was a 1990 graduate. She mentioned that she was named after Kyle Field, which is an interesting truth about herself.
Kylee, the youngest of three siblings, was scheduled to receive her honors diploma from Texas A&M in December and then move on to Round Rock to pursue her second degree. Her father claimed that she was more than dedicated to her studies, always concentrated, and reserved her freedom to let her hair down on weekends when she returned home.
“On Thursdays, she would arrive home, have a glass of wine, and begin to read at the table while opening her medical books,” Drew remarked. She merely had a burning desire to become the greatest nurse she could be by learning everything she could. She would have been among the greatest, in my opinion.
He remarked, “She was just hell or high water.” It was going to come to her. And you have no idea how angry she was when she received her one and only B.
Kylee majored in allied health with the goal of becoming a labor and delivery nurse after realizing she loved health. She became fascinated with nursing after that.
Drew remarked, “She was truly beginning to mature as a woman and discover her purpose in life.” “Wonderfully intelligent.”
It was one month till Kylee died away and got her Aggie Ring. These days, Mitzi wears it in the hopes that someone will inquire about her A&M degree, which will open the door to talking about her daughter.
Kylee started actively studying the Bible around a year ago. Her father was impressed by how quickly those in her immediate vicinity looked to her for guidance.
Drew remarked, “I think what we really want her remembered by is her faith.” “She was transforming lives beyond… The fact that so many individuals approached us to just share their experiences, engage in Bible studies, and take use of all the services she provided to assist them in overcoming their challenges… Sincerely, if I were to examine this and try to determine why it occurred, I believe that God intended for us to get closer to him, and we have via her.
Drew says that he and Mitzi will meet their daughter again, which is a blessing at the end of the road.
“Everyone wants to get back together. Eternity is eternal, according to Drew. “The alternative is far worse than heaven.” We are so making a serious effort to center our life on it. She was a blessing, though. She had such talent and wit. We have a lot in common.
